Who is responsible for your information?

Horsfall Education is operated by Juliet Horsfall. For questions about this notice or your personal information, email juliet@horsfall-education.com.

Information collected

When you contact or work with Horsfall Education, I may collect:

Please do not include detailed medical or highly sensitive information in the initial website enquiry.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to enquiries, arrange and provide tuition, develop an appropriate learning plan, communicate with families, manage appointments and payments, maintain necessary records and meet legal, professional or safeguarding responsibilities.

Lawful basis

Personal information is processed where it is necessary to respond to a request, enter into or fulfil a tuition agreement, meet a legal obligation, or pursue the legitimate interests of operating Horsfall Education. Where consent is relied upon, it may be withdrawn at any time. Special-category information is only used where an appropriate additional lawful condition applies.

Website enquiries and technical information

The enquiry form prepares an email in your own email application. The completed message is not stored in a website enquiry database by Horsfall Education. The website host and essential service providers may process limited technical information required to operate, secure and measure use of the website.

Cookies and website analytics

This website uses essential technologies to operate securely and reliably. The website hosting service also records basic traffic information, such as page views and unique visitors. Horsfall Education has not added advertising cookies, marketing trackers or third-party analytics tools. If the website’s use of cookies changes, this notice will be updated and consent will be requested where required.

Sharing information

Personal information is not sold. It may be shared with service providers, such as email, video-calling, payment, accounting or website-hosting providers, where necessary to provide the service. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or where there is a safeguarding concern involving a child or vulnerable person.

Children’s information

Most arrangements are made with a parent or guardian. Information about a child is collected only when relevant to their tuition, welfare or learning needs. It is handled carefully and explained in clear, age-appropriate language where appropriate.

Retention and security

Information is kept securely and only for as long as it is needed for tuition, safeguarding, accounting or legal purposes. It is then securely deleted or destroyed.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion or restriction; object to certain uses; and withdraw consent where consent is relied upon. To make a request, email Juliet using the address above. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this notice

This notice will be reviewed regularly and updated when the way personal information is used changes.
